Event Details:

Join us at the Lake the Woods Cemetery for the 24th Annual Festival of Lights. The cemetery grounds will be lit with thousands of ice candles from Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day. The Festival is a unique celebration of remembrance in Kenora at Christmastime that involves the entire community. And the Festival wouldn't be this amazing without the support of everyone who purchased a candle - so thank you! Thank you to Canadian Tire, our long-standing candle sponsor.

The Christmas Eve service begins at 1 p.m. at the Memory Board, with Pastor Cathy Giroux officiating and carolling by Sideways Singers. The lighting of the ice candles begins at 1:30 p.m.

If you would like to help light the candles on Christmas Eve, contact the Cemetery Office at 807-467-2067.

There's still time to order an ice candle. Order deadline is Friday, December 2, 2022.

Pick-up starts on December 7 until December 16 at the Cemetery Garage, Ninth Street North, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12, 12:30 to 4 p.m.
