The 10th annual Kenora Walleye Open will be held on July 5 andJuly 6, 2025 in Kenora, Ontario.  This is a catch and release team tournament.

• 2025 will be the 10th Annual Event!
• Two day tournament held on July 5 and July 6, 2025.
• Tournament capped at 100 teams
• Only Walleye, Sauger and Saugeye are eligible to be weighed.
• Daily limit of four (4) fish.  
• Only one CRR walleye per day, 70cm and over may be counted and three (3) fish 43cm and under OR four (4) slot fish 43cm and under.
• Tournament hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
• Angler Team Check in from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday July 4 at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre Theatre.
• Take Off and Weigh In will be located at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre in Norman.

The Matiowski Farmers' Market is back for the 20th year on the Kenora Harbourfront under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion. 

Running every Wednesday for 17 weeks, June 11 through October 1, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with over 100 local and regional vendors weekly.

You will find produce, meat, treats, artisans, crafters, jewellers, community groups and so much more.

Service dogs only allowed under the tent due to Health and Safety.

From true crime and murder mysteries to the Ontario-Manitoba border war, sickness and disease, and one of the most famous bank robberies in Canadian History, these stories will give you a view of Kenora’s history like you've never heard before.

Every Wednesday in July and August at 7:30 p.m.

Meet at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery garage. Walk-ups welcome!

Come hear the stories of the first buildings that lined the street of 1880s Rat Portage and see how others have stood the test of time. With visual aids and commentary from the Lake of the Woods Museum curator Rick Brignall, prepare to learn about the history of downtown Kenora, Then and Now.

Tour starts and ends at the Kenora Cenotaph in front of the Lake of the Woods Museum. Walk-ups welcome!

The Main Street Markets are returning this summer on Saturday, July 12 and Saturday, August 16, with the street closed to vehicle traffic on Main Street South between First Street South and Second Street South.

The markets will play host to local and regional vendors and merchants, music and activities, along with food and beverage offerings.

This free public event is a great way to spend a summer afternoon in downtown Kenora exploring all the unique shops, eateries, and supporting local businesses.
