A&W Burgers to Beat MS Day is back on Thursday, August 21st!  For every Teen Burger sold across Canada, $2 will be donated to MS Canada to help fund critical research and programs for those living with and affected by multiple sclerosis.

Canadians can also contribute to the cause by rounding up any purchase at an A&W restaurant, donating online at BurgersToBeatMS.ca, through the A&W app, or by selecting donation options in the UberEats app.

What: Champion A&W Burgers to Beat MS Day and order a Teen Burger to help raise critical funds for MS research and support programs. A&W will donate $2 from every Teen Burger sold across Canada on Thursday, August 21, to MS Canada to support Canadians living with MS.

Where: All dine-in, take-out and drive-thru A&W Restaurants or through the A&W app. Visit aw.ca/locations to find a restaurant near you.

When: Thursday, August 21, 2025; all day from open to close.

Why: Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world, with more than 90,000 Canadians currently living with MS. On average, 12 Canadians are diagnosed with MS every day. Show your support for Canadians living with and affected by MS and help raise funds for MS Canada.

Finding Richard Close -Theatre

8:00 PM | 510 Second Street South, Lower Level (Home stage of TryLight Theatre)

This original drama has well-placed comedic elements and is written, produced and performed by Kenora artists.  The one-act play opened to incredible reviews at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival and is proud to bring it home with a local run.  We will take the audience on an emotional journey, through laughter and tears.

"Estranged siblings, Ethan and Maryn, are brought together again in their eccentric Mother's final days.  They discover some cryptic instructions she left, launching them on a search for Richard Close.  With the help of Maryn's husband, Teddy, and some other entertaining characters along the way, the brother and sister explore both the weight and nostalgia of their previous family life.  Will the mysterious Richard Close bring answers or create even more questions for them?"

Reviews to date include:

"...warm, very funny and deeply moving."  Winnipeg Free Press, July 2025

"Heartbreaking...this is a must see."  Jennyrevue.com, July 2025

"...deep emotions but had just enough comedy in it to keep it light." Crystal, winnipegfringereviews.com
